The funniest thing I heard today? Prince is playing at DNA Lounge in SF. It's a small venue in SOMA down the street from my work. Four shows in two days. It was announced today and tickets sold out today. The price? $250 a pop. What?! Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!! Who on Earth has that kind of money to spend on a concert? Seriously? What a fucking joke! I wouldn't pay that much money to see and Guns 'n' Roses original members reunion where they play Appetite for Destruction from beginning to end after Jimi Hendrix rose from the grave and replayed his entire set from Woodstock note for note. NO-WAY!
It is the the goal of the music industry to rip off every legitimate music lover, audiophile and ignorant dad with more money than sense and bleed as much money from them as they can while they peruse Caribbean real estate for their third home. It's a total racket from Ticketmaster to Clear Channel to U2 to Sony and on and on, and the fans (and often artists) get screwed every time. Rabble-B
